CataHome Feline Sanctuary
CataHome Feline Sanctuary is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the livelihood of feral and stray cats. They reached out to me during their formation to get a website up and running. It was a truly special opportunity to be a part of their story as they began serving the community.
Communication Problem
As a brand new nonprofit organization, they needed a website to share with the community who they are and what they do. They wanted something clean, organized, and easy to navigate. Especially important to include were areas for volunteering and donating.
Planning
There were many stages of planning for this project, including research, mood board, content strategies, and sitemaps. The nonprofit conducted research on their end, I conducted my own research, and then we compared notes to discuss the most effective solutions for the website.
Solution
We chose WordPress to host their website as they offer affordable price points, important for a nonprofit just starting up. The interface allows them to easily make updates themselves. I am also able to remain a contributor on the account for when they need more extensive updates or assistance. We decided on a color pallet that matched the grassroots feel they wanted to convey to their audience. Cute cat photos are the icing on the cake.
